Q: What do you like the most about working at LAH?
A: I’ve worked a number of places for a number of years but rarely have I experienced a workforce or office environment that has been as instantly inclusive, welcoming, and understanding as the LAH family.
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: Well, I’ve played guitar for roughly 16 years, and I have a photography company (darlingdearstudio.com ..shameless plug ha). But that being said, my work life is incredibly reflective of my home life – I love technology. I’m genetically encoded to be a fixer (to a fault sometimes …just ask the wife). Computer networking offers an endless supply of issues to be evaluated and solved. I enjoy the “why” of a result as much as the outcome. Nerd For Life! 🙂
Q: What would a “perfect” day look like for you?
A: Sipping coffee on the terrace of the Hotel St. Helene in New Orleans; Listening to Ms. Doreen Ketchens playing her jazz clarinet a block over on Royal. Of all the time I’ve spent anyplace or anywhere in my life I have found no comparison.
Q: What characteristic do you most admire in others?
Optimistic fortitude. Okay, so that was essentially a $3 way of saying positivity and strength through adverse moments. Everyone is a champion when the sun’s out, it’s when the rain comes that we are truly tested. Facing tough times is difficult, even more so with a pleasant disposition. Truer words were never spoken when Churchill stated, “If you’re going through hell – keep going”.
Q: What is your favorite movie or book and why?
A: Regarding movies – there are sooo many! WarGames, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Top Gun! So Much Top Gun! But if I had to settle on one. I’d say Hackers. It’s a tough sell to pretty much anyone who could care less about neon colored clothing and technology, but it had all the cheesy action and computers a geeky 90’s kid could ask for.
